How It Works
The base formula is: quarter note (ms) = 60,000 / BPM. From there: half = ×2, whole = ×4, eighth = ÷2, sixteenth = ÷4. Dotted notes add 50% (×1.5). Triplets compress 3 notes into 2 beats (×2/3). Syncing delay and reverb pre-delay to tempo creates a cohesive groove. Common tricks: dotted eighth delay creates a galloping pattern, quarter note for simple echoes, sixteenth for slapback. For reverb pre-delay, use 1/16 to 1/32 note values.
